In the end, the only real way to make a political party change its mind is to withdraw support and votes. That is what requires to be done now. Leave the SNP to trans people and their supporters. Let all those women who pant with glee at the thought of trans women entering all female sex-based spaces discover that they really have pulled the Trojan horse into the party and into THEIR rights/spaces/quotas/. The ‘wheesht for indy’ delusional ones will get their just deserts. The ISP is waiting.
Is the following language offensive, abusive or gender neutral?
Is this free speech and embodied in some health literature or the arazure of the word woman and woman’s rights?
Women’s Revenge = Election Day.
Your vote is your most precious power.
Politicians need your vote.
Email them all & tell them why you won’t vote for them if they do not support Women’s Sexed Based Rights, Safe Spaces, Safe Sports.
Whether or not they support Women’s Rights, email them. Use links in your letters to websites & easy newspaper & blog articles with images. Also to twitter accounts. Keep them updated. Tell politicians who you will now vote for & why. Ask politicians to make clear statements of their policies on Women. Build relationships with politicians who support Women’s Rights. Support them & thank them when they stand up for Women. Join campaigns by Women’s Rights organizations. These have powerful impacts on policies, legislation & landmark court cases. Don’t waste time engaging in online battles with non-believers – they are sent to distract you & exhaust you. Emailing politicians is the real place this War On Women will be won. Don’t be afraid of emailing politicians. It’s 1000 times more effective than you think. It’s 100 times easier than you think. It’s 10 times more fun than you think. Set aside time every day to do it. If you need help, reach out and ask people.
Never take the narc head on…. the war on women is #waronintelligence
(See what i did there?)
Lorna Campbell above.
I agree that people should leave the SNP to the trans activists so its very disappointing to see members if ISP say they will still vote SNP 1 and Alba 2 as ISP have stood down. Obviously some people want independence more than they want womens rights protected.
Its Indy OR womens rights. You cant have both at the moment. Maybe one day when the world wakes up.
I have removed your bigoted signs from my local area and handed them in to the police station. I am a staunch feminist, that does not mean that I support hate speech against transgender people. Including the spread of misinformation about them. I was disgusted to see your vile claims plastered around my community.
It’s odd that none of your signs targets female to male transitions, only male to female. Showing the level of ignorance behind your so-called fight for women’s rights.
Maybe you really should wheesht because you don’t speak for any of the women I know. Stop pretending that you do. We definitely do not support what you are doing. You don’t gain rights by denying them to other people.
The only bigots are those who attack women and women’s sex-based rights. The facts are proven. Sex is binary. It cannot be changed. Those who think it an need help as this is a delusion. Ultimately it boils down to the Staniland question, Those who think it acceptable for male-bodied people to undress in communal changing rooms with young girls is opening the door to paedophile, perverts and predators, as it is these who will gleefully use the gender excuse.
I was happy when my friend sent me a photo of one of the signs up on Calton Hill. I really do think women’s rights are being eroded at the moment, and if we don’t speak up now, we will never get them back. And after so many years fighting for equality, it would be a great disservice to the women who went before us, and for all future generations of women, if we don’t act when our rights are ignored. I don’t understand why this should be a controversial view to hold. I enjoy seeing the Suffragette colours. I am proud to be a woman. And as with most (all) women, I still face misogyny on a regular basis. And this is still something that the government is not doing enough about, which makes me very angry. I wish no harm to anyone else, regardless of their story. But there is still so much to be done to make women feel safe and equal. Why on earth should drawing attention to this be a problem for any fair-minded, decent person?
How is stating that women are adult human females hate speech? Women have human rights. Transmen are women so yes they are included as adult human females.
You are not a feminist. Putting men’s feelings over women’s rights is not feminism. Shame on you.
Go sisters! I would love to have come across these by chance. A great collection and example of what we can do . Well done all of you. And thank you.
I came on here to have a look after reading about your movement. However, i think you have mistaken feminism for one cohesive movement and not a spectrum of ideas and thoughts, all of which need to be discussed and deeply considered. There is no one blanket feminism and my feminism certainly does not seem to alienate men while making sure that women rise to a level equal to them. My feminism doesn’t treat trans women as men and certainly doesn’t else’s trans women as a threat.
A little moderation and a little less hysteria in feminism and a recognition of other views is always appreciated.
